Thesis Title: Development of a Participatory GIS to support Location Based Services over Wireless Networks

About

I am a research student at University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. My study is focused on Mobile GIS.
Mobile phones have become the most common ICT enabled tool in developing countries. Traditional knowledge of people is a valuable resource in developing nations context. My attempt is to use PPGIS methods on mobile phones to capture and share traditional knowledge.

I am involved in teaching GIS/ web-GIS units at university of Moratuwa / university of Peradenitya.

Open source GIS, web GIS, teaching methods on GIS, interactive media,counselling and psychosocial work are my other interest areas.
